SKYDOG RANCH & SANCTUARY…
Provides a home and freedom for these incredible wild horses and burros
Aims to increase public awareness of mustang issues, showcase important herd and family dynamics, and the general and historical value of America's wild horses through media and social networks
Hopes to show that wild horses can co-exist on the open range in ecological balance with many species of wildlife, and demonstrate how to best manage land to increase carrying capacity and reverse range degradation
Is a place of peace and healing for our volunteers in both Oregon and California who are able to come and spend time with the wild ones in nature and be around these beautiful rescued horses
Wild mustangs and burros are free to live out their lives on the 9,000-acre safe haven of SKYDOG RANCH & SANCTUARY near Bend, Oregon, or be loved and cared for more closely at our 11-acre ranch in Malibu, CA
At-risk wild horses and family bands are brought to our sanctuary in Oregon, given the care and treatment they need, and then released onto the peaceful wide open space of SKYDOG RANCH OREGON
The more gentle horses who enjoy human contact can spend time at our Malibu ranch and are ambassadors for all the horses in kill pens, auctions, and holding across America

SKYDOG RANCH OREGON allows wild mustangs and burros, who might not be well suited to life in captivity or who have been through abuse and trauma, to live out their lives in a SAFE AND NATURAL OPEN ENVIRONMENT. As well, families who have been reunited can spend the rest of their days as the herd and family band they were in the wild or in holding
